“This year is the 3rd annual celebration highlighting local black philanthropists and celebrating their rich giving history that generously impacts the whole community in a positive way. In 2018, The Community Foundation partnered with SisterFund and Ujima Legacy Fund to host the region’s first Black Philanthropy Month where we were inspired by Dr. Copeland’s vision to elevate Blacks in philanthropy and empowered to show case our journey during the launch of the Giving Black study.

This year’s celebration title is INSPIRE * EDUCATE * ACT. We will honor two Black philanthropic leaders in the region, be inspired by local philanthropists, be educated on the impact of Black philanthropic giving and all who attend will learn ways they too can become active in Richmond’s philanthropy family of givers!”
